Based at Ulverscroft Grange, The Suttlewood Clarke Foundation runs a community allotment project for young people with disabilities. Volunteers are required to assist with aiding the young people, sharing enthusiasm and knowledge and maintaining the allotments in their absence
Skills/Equipment Required:
A keen interest in gardening, growing vegetables and sharing skills. Some experience of working with young people and or disabilities is desirable, but not essential, guidance will be given
Fitness Level Required:
Average level of fitness is required
What to Wear and Bring:
Volunteers should be in outdoor wear and suitable footwear
Frequency of Sessions:
Sessions take place on Tuesdays
Duration of Each Session:
1pm-3pm
Access Considerations:
There is plenty of parking. Allotments are on a slope
Risks:
Trips and falls on uneven ground. Moving and Handling
Additional Comments:
A standard DBS check is required along with two references. Volunteers must be at least 18yrs old
