Skills360 were nominated this month as a ‘Positive Community Impact’ award finalist at the Nimble Awards 2024, for our work using digital resources to support our local communities. The Skills360 platform offers a range of e-learning, that provides foundational training and qualifications, including accredited CPD points. Skills360 is aimed at those who wish to work or volunteer in the sport and physical activity sector in particular.
Skills360 is an organisation funded by Sport England that has at its core a mission to open doors into the Sport and Physical Activity (S&PA) sector, with a focus on supporting underserved communities, and those who may be not in education, employment or training (NEET). Sport Birmingham uses Nimble to provide short, accessible and engaging e-learning courses in key subjects for those looking to get into the sector, such as interview technique, personal finance, CV writing, sports coaching, and building relationships.
Judges comments:
“The Skills360 project demonstrates commitment to community engagement and inclusivity in the S&PA sector. The project successfully enrolled over 1,000 individuals and completed 2,000 elearnings in just three years, highlighting its effective outreach. Skills360 has significantly impacted underserved communities and individuals from diverse backgrounds or with access needs. By engaging with over 30 local community projects, they have built trust and reached those most in need.”
