The countdown is officially on for the Girls of Brum Summer Showcase, taking place at Birmingham’s iconic Alexander Stadium on 11 June.
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, bringing together girls from schools and communities across Birmingham for a fun-filled day celebrating sport, physical activity and leadership. With more than 35 activity providers delivering an exciting range of sports and experiences, attendees can look forward to an action-packed event with something for everyone to enjoy.
The showcase is part of the wider Girls of Brum movement – a citywide initiative dedicated to empowering young women to embrace active, healthy lifestyles while building confidence, resilience and leadership skills through sport and physical activity.
By uniting schools, communities, businesses and local leaders, Girls of Brum is helping to create a more inclusive Birmingham where every girl feels supported to participate, be visible and lead. The initiative recognises that when girls are given opportunities to thrive through sport and activity, the positive impact extends far beyond the individual, building healthier communities.
Participants at the Summer Showcase will have the opportunity to:
- Try a variety of new sports and physical activities
- Develop existing skills in a supportive environment
- Meet inspirational role models
- Build confidence and make new friendships
- Discover pathways to staying active for life
Following the success of last year’s event, the 2026 Summer Showcase aims to continue inspiring the next generation of young women and encouraging lifelong participation in sport and physical activity.
